Staff
The staff of the Alberta Real Estate Foundation implement the decisions of the Board of Governors and manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. The Foundation is guided by the Executive Director, Cheryl De Paoli, who reports directly to the Board of Governors. The focus of the Foundation's daily operations include:
- Community Investment
Working with partner organizations to successfully implement project ideas for the benefit of the real estate industry and all Albertans. - Communications
Keeping the real estate industry aware of Foundation activities through provincial publications, our website, and presentations in communities throughout the province. - Stakeholder Consultations
Involving industry and community members in discussions for ideas and possible partnership opportunities. - Recognition
Increasing the Foundation’s profile within the province through various community and media outlets.
Executive Director - Cheryl De Paoli
Cheryl
holds a Master of Science
(Business) from the University of Bath and Bachelor of Commerce from the
University of Calgary. She formerly served as the Communications and Community Investment Manager
for the Foundation from 2006-2009. Cheryl is a certified facilitator focusing on bringing
stakeholders together for systemic conversations. Her consulting work focuses on sustainability strategy and corporate social responsibility in the
government, non-profit and business sectors, including projects such as
imagineCALGARY, Calgary 2012, the Canadian Water Innovation Lab, and the
Future of Water Workshop series.

Community Investment Coordinator - Dora Bundgaard
Dora holds a Masters of Environmental Design from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Arts (Geography) from the University of Saskatchewan. She has an extensive background working in the education, planning and community investment sectors. You will often find Dora in her rose garden and volunteering with Calgary Rose Society.
