CREB Adds Value For Members
September 2010 - The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®) undertook the task of learning about its approximately 5,500 members funded by the Alberta Real Estate Foundation.
.
What emerged is the CREB Member Engagement Survey. The survey was very well received by CREB’s membership with 2,132 members responding for a response rate of 41%.
"The Alberta Real Estate Foundation focuses on supporting projects that build Real Estate Professionals capacity to offer customers high quality and appropriate services" says Executive Director Gael MacLeod. "Funding the CREB Membership Survey is an example of how the Foundation is working with Real Estate Boards across Alberta to add value for members and ultimately customers. I congratulate CREB for taking this step forward".
Through the data gathered in this study, CREB has gained valuable information about its membership and about the Real Estate industry in Alberta as a whole. Notable insights from the survey include:
- Overall, 62% of CREB’s members are satisfied with the level of support received from the organization.
- Noted areas of improvement identified by CREB members include: Enforcement of rules, advocacy, MLX and Education & Professional Development.
- Over 95% of the CREB membership was aware of the CREB Charitable Foundation.
By capturing a snapshot of today’s membership and their needs, the CREB Board of Directors will use the results of this survey to inform their strategic planning over the course of the next 3-5 years. The results will also affect CREB staff’s strategic, tactical and operational planning for the next several years. CREB is also in the process of and eager to continue communicating the results of the survey to other boards.
