Preparing Alberta's Planners for a Changing Built Environment
The 2026 Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) Conference, FAST FORWARD – Planning at the Speed of Change, will bring planning professionals and industry partners together in Calgary for three days of learning, collaboration, and professional development.
With expanded programming, the conference will feature a keynote address, concurrent educational sessions, tours, social events, and networking opportunities. Attendees will explore emerging issues and ideas influencing planning, land use, development, and communities while learning from the experiences of professionals from across Alberta.
By creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, explore new approaches, and strengthen professional connections, the conference will help Alberta's planners respond to change and support thoughtful planning and development across the province.
