Preparing the Next Generation of Commercial Real Estate Leaders
The NAIOP Real Estate Challenge is a national case competition that gives post-secondary students hands-on experience solving a real-world commercial real estate development project. Student teams from universities across Canada work to develop comprehensive proposals that incorporate market analysis, urban planning, design, financial modelling, sustainability, and development strategy.
Participants present their solutions to a panel of experienced industry professionals, receiving valuable feedback, mentorship, and networking opportunities with leaders in commercial real estate. By connecting students with industry and providing practical, experiential learning, the Challenge helps develop the knowledge, skills, and professional relationships needed to support the future of Alberta's commercial real estate sector.

NAIOP Edmonton Association
NAIOP Edmonton was founded in early 2013 in response to a need for networking, education, and advocacy opportunities in Edmonton’s commercial development industry. Edmonton’s strong market fundamentals and vibrant demographic has not gone unnoticed by the international commercial development organization, NAIOP, and with their full support a group of 14 like-minded professionals in the industry set out to establish the organization locally.
