Affordable Housing Project Hand Up
Like many rural Alberta communities, families struggle to find suitable, stable and appropriate housing because of housing shortages and skyrocketing costs. Through the Affordable Housing - Hand Up project, the St. Paul Affordable Community Housing Society is building a single family home (with another single family home and two duplex homes being planned).Recipients will be responsible for qualifying for a mortgage, participating in learning opportunities provided by the society in order to improve potential for successful home ownership and will also be required to perform 500 hours of community service.
The Foundation was pleased to provide support towards non-capital costs including legal costs, appraisals, real property reports, interim financing interest, and related costs.
