Strengthening Collaboration to Preserve Alberta's Heritage Places

The Alberta Heritage Places Network (AHPN) is bringing together heritage professionals, planners, real estate and development representatives, conservation specialists, and community leaders to establish a province-wide network dedicated to the stewardship of Alberta's heritage places and cultural assets.

The founding meeting will create a shared framework for collaboration, helping participants identify priorities and strengthen partnerships that support the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings, main streets, cultural landscapes, and established neighbourhoods. By encouraging collaboration across sectors, the initiative will help protect places that contribute to community identity, economic vitality, and long-term real estate value throughout Alberta.

Funding will support professional meeting facilitation, as well as the documentation and sharing of outcomes to benefit Alberta's heritage, planning, and real estate communities.
