Helping Albertans Identify and Manage Invasive Plants
The Alberta Invasive Species Council (AISC) is updating and distributing the Invasive Plants of Alberta Guide, a practical resource that helps Albertans identify and manage invasive plants that can affect land productivity, property management, and real estate transactions.
Building on previous support from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation, the updated guide will reflect changes to Alberta's Weed Control Regulation and provide current, accessible information for REALTORS®, landowners, and other land professionals. With more than 30,000 copies distributed to date, the guide has become a widely used resource for invasive plant identification across the province.
Funding will support the printing of approximately 2,500 updated guides, helping property owners and real estate professionals identify noxious weeds, understand potential risks, and take informed action to protect Alberta's landscapes and property values.
