This project proposes a two-day basic home maintenance course designed specifically for Siksika Nation members. By equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills, this initiative aims to foster a sense of pride of ownership, empower tenants and owners to maintain their properties, and ultimately contribute to the advancement of the real estate industry within the Siksika Nation.
During the workshops, Nation members learn how to maintain and repair their homes from professionals, and are provided with a certificate which is a requirement to qualify for rental housing on the reserve.
